DANBURY, CT — Wondering where you can see fireworks as the Fourth of July approaches? The city will play host to displays at the Danbury Fair Mall and Candlewood Lake this year. With the Fourth of July falling on a Tuesday, many fireworks shows will be held in the days leading up to independence day. Here is what you need to know about the fireworks shows.
Candlewood Lake
The Candlewood Lake fireworks in Danbury Bay will take place on June 24. The event is put on by the Danbury Fire Department. You can view the fireworks on land at Danbury Town Park or by boat, click here for boating guidelines for the event. The display begins when it starts to get dark, typically between 8:30 and 9 p.m.

Danbury Fair Mall
The fireworks show kicks off SummerStage at Danbury Fair in the mall's back parking lot boasting bands, food trucks and more on June 30 beginning at 6 p.m. . The fireworks start at dusk, and the rain date is July 3.

The event starts with performances by Western Connecticut's Own Nick Arne band from 6-8PM, then performances by Rock This Town from 8-10PM.
