DANBURY, CT —When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

"As editor of the Tribuna, Emanuela Palmares has kept the community informed, not missing a beat when it comes to the pertinent information that impacts them during this pandemic," said her husband, State Rep. J.P. Sredzinski.

But Palmares is also vice president of the New American Dream Foundation. In that capacity, she has coordinated meal delivery to thousands of students in need over the past few weeks with thousands more to go through May.

"She is hardworking, dedicated and so passionate about helping others in need in her community," Sredzinski said. "She saw a need and went to work, doing anything she could to help those struggling to provide basic needs. It’s this compassion and dedication that makes her such an amazing person, giving selflessly of her time and resources."
