Police Identify Victim In Danbury Fatal Stabbing

Police say a 21-year-old Danbury man faces multiple charges following a fatal stabbing in the city this past weekend.

DANBURY, CT — Police have named the victim in a fatal stabbing that occurred in Danbury on Saturday afternoon.

Yorge Michael Andrade-Vera, 22, from Queens, NY, has been identified as the victim in the Granville Avenue incident, according to police spokesperson Erin Henry. Officers responded to a 911 call placed at approximately 12:29 p.m.

Emergency personnel from the police, fire department, and EMS arrived on the scene and located Andrade-Vera, who was taken to Danbury Hospital. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, authorities said.

Following an investigation by the department’s detective bureau, police identified Bryan Eduardo Caceres-Pinguil, 21, of Danbury, as the suspect.

Caceres-Pinguil was charged with murder, third-degree assault, two counts of risk of injury to a minor, and disorderly conduct. He is being held on a $1 million bond.
