Danbury Officer Attacked by Man with Numerous Prior Arrests: Police
A Litchfield man with numerous prior convictions was arrested on Tuesday and charged with assaulting a public safety officer

Danbury, CT — A 42-year-old Litchfield man with numerous prior convictions was arrested on Tuesday and charged with assaulting a public safety officer, according to The News Times.
Paul Arbitelle was charged with interfering with an officer, threatening and assault on a public safety official with a dangerous weapon, the report stated.
According to court records, Arbitelle was found guilty in 2010 of interfering with an officer and resisting arrest. In 2011 he was arrested for illegally operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs as well as third degree assault. In 2012 he was arrested and found guilty of assaulting an EMT.
