Danbury will perform overnight water system upgrades Aug. 11–12, with short service interruptions in several neighborhoods.

DANBURY, CT — The City of Danbury will perform overnight water system upgrades in several neighborhoods beginning tonight, Monday, Aug. 11, according to the Public Utilities Department.

The work is scheduled to run from 9 p.m. Monday to 7 a.m. Tuesday and will affect Shannon Ridge Road, Lawn Crest Road, Myrtle Avenue from Shannon Ridge to Well Avenue, and Lake Avenue from Shannon Ridge to Lawncrest Road.

Officials said water service will be shut down for a short period during the upgrades. Once service is restored, hydrants will be flushed to help alleviate any discoloration. Residents may need to run cold water for about 20 minutes after the work is completed.
