Danbury Police: DUI
Danbury Police stop a driver on Swanson Avenue and discover he had been drinking.
Police Officer Belair saw a 2008 F350 pickup at about 1 a.m. Monday, make an improper left turn left onto Swanson Avenue from Federal Road. A traffic stop was initiated and the operator, Edvaldo Gomes, 36, Old Newton Road. had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. He failed a field sobriety test. He was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive right. He was held on a $1,000 bond.
