Danbury Police: Marijuana With Intent to Sell

Danbury Police charged two men after serving a search warrant in Danbury Friday.

Danbury Police Department's Special Investigation Division, assisted by the Community Conditions unit and SWAT team executed a search and seizure warrant at 2c Irving Place Friday. The warrant was obtained after an investigation revealed marijuana was being sold from this location.

During the search warrant a small marijuana grow operation was discovered as well as marijuana packaged for sale and a pump action shotgun.

Police charged Kenny Chavez, 22, with criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a $10,000 bond.

Police charged Paul Walcott, 20, with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

This information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
