Danbury's A Tribute to Newtown

David M. Coelho offered this comment at 5:45 a.m., "What a fine tribute. I am very glad that I went. It was important for the Danbury area to show our support to Newtown. Every speaker had a different and equally important message to all of us. The Clergy of all Faiths were great! The singer during the candlight montage, Ms. Amy Masse sang like an Angel. The artist Scott LoBaido, with is now famous flag painting was amazing. I hope that they sell copies of that painting. He amazed the entire auditorium with how fast he painted it. What was the song that was playing while he painted?"

Nancy said, "It was a wonderful service. i thought the blend of faith speakers, government, first responders, and music and art was extremely effective. I have to believe that gatherings such as this, with such outpouring of love and positive energy, help to counteract with light the darkness of which the rabbi spoke. And by the way, I found his remarks to be completely amazing; I was incredibly impressed with what he had to offer us."

Scheduled to speak were Clive Calver, Walnut Hill Community Church Senior Pastor, Faith Church Pastor Frank Santoro, United Jewish Center Rabbi Clifford E. Librach.

The gathering was a way for the people of Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield and Sherman to come together in this time of need to support Newtown.
