Danbury’s Battle Of The Badges Blood Drive Returns April 23
Join Danbury first responders at the 4th Annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive and Emergency Preparedness Day at Danbury Fair Mall.
DANBURY, CT — The City of Danbury will host its 4th Annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive and Emergency Preparedness Day on Wednesday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Danbury Fair Mall. The event is a partnership between the American Red Cross and the city’s Police, Fire, Emergency Management, and Health and Human Services departments.
The friendly competition encourages residents to donate blood in support of and alongside local first responders. Donors of all blood types are welcome, and participants can opt to give a Power Red donation to maximize impact. Appointments can be made online at redcrossblood.org using sponsor code COD, or calling 1-800-733-2767.
Mayor Roberto Alves praised the growing community engagement with the event: "Our Police and Fire Departments, Emergency Management Division, and our Health & Human Services Department work tirelessly to keep our community safe and healthy, and by donating life-saving blood alongside them, you not only support our first responders, but you help save lives in your community."
