Danbury Youth Services, Inc. Seeks Development Director

Danbury Youth Services, Inc. (DYS) seeks qualified part-time development director to assist in spearheading development efforts. Responsibilities include execution of agency's development plan through building/cultivating relationships with donors in the community, securing financial support from new donors, managing the donor database and maintaining relationships with current donors, overseeing organization of special events and assisting with marketing campaign. These tasks are to be conducted in collaboration with the agency's Board of Directors and executive director.

The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree with at least three years or more of experience working in a development position with expertise in generating revenue and increasing support bases for growing local non-profit. He or she must be creative and results-driven.

The position is a part-time position, up to 15 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling and competitive salary. The clinical program includes the Youth and Family Counseling Program, providing clinical treatment services to area youth and their family members by certified and licensed clinicians. In addition, DYS provides a variety of intervention/prevention and positive youth development programs, including youth employment and mentoring services.
