Joan M. Thorburn, 78, died on Apr. 13, 2025; born Aug. 6, 1946, she worked nearly 60 years as a nurse at Danbury Hospital and Regional Hospice and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mary Ellen (Kelley) Lane, 89, a longtime educator in Wilton and Danbury who loved traveling, gardening, and playing piano, died Apr. 11, 2025.

Joan Suzanne Huse (Hrabcsak), 91, died on Apr. 4, 2025; born May 25, 1933, she worked as a secretary at Fairfield Hills Hospital and in corporate offices before concluding her career as a nursery caregiver, and enjoyed reading, gardening, writing poetry, and volunteering with the King Street Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Trevor Joseph DiComo, 26, died on Apr. 2, 2025; born Dec. 22, 1998, he enjoyed drawing, painting, cooking, creating comedy skits, and participating in sports including fishing, golf, baseball, bowling, archery, swimming, and boogie boarding.

Nelson Macedo, 94, died on Apr. 1, 2025; born Oct. 7, 1930, he served as a U.S. Army corporal during the Korean War, spent decades with the Danbury Police Department including 20 years as Chief, and enjoyed hunting in Vermont, following the New York Giants, dining out, and playing cards.

Tracy L. (Gerback) Tremblay, 56, died on Apr. 1, 2025; born Aug. 21, 1968, she worked as a deli clerk at Deeps Market and spent her time caring for animals, especially stray cats.

John A. McGarry, 88, died on Mar. 29, 2025; born June 13, 1936, he served with the Danbury Police Department and Detective Bureau, enjoyed attending sports and police events, and supported numerous charities.

Ruthann (Miller) Bertalovitz, 81, died on Mar. 28, 2025; born Nov. 13, 1943, she worked as a sales associate at JOANN Fabric and enjoyed designing jewelry with a focus on beadwork.

Deborah Ann Brunelli, 68, died on Mar. 26, 2025; born May 8, 1956, she worked for 45 years at Northern Westchester Hospital Center in nursing and utilization management, later volunteered at Regional Hospice and worked part-time at ShopRite, and enjoyed crafting, sewing, cross-stitch, knitting, and traveling with family and friends.
