About 70 cats were rescued and are in need of assistance, according to the organization.
The cats were originally strays taken in by a family, who later fell on hard times. The animals were kept in a trailer with food, water, litter boxes, toys, and a TV to keep the cats company.

“Unfortunately, the sheer number of cats made it impossible to keep up with cleaning and medical needs,” the organization said, in the campaign.
Many of the animals have health issues, such as eye and upper respiratory infections, FeLV, and FIV. One kitten has passed away due to illness, according to the organization.
Donations will be used to help cover medical costs and supplies. The organization also needs volunteers to provide foster homes.
The organization is working in conjunction with Wells Valley Cat Rescue, Inc and New Fairfield Animal Control to help the cats.
