Jackpot! $2 Million Lottery Ticket Sold In Danbury

The Danbury score is the second-largest Connecticut Lottery prize claimed so far in May and third largest claimed so far this year.

DANBURY, CT — A Danbury business sold a seven-figure-winning lottery ticket to a Danbury resident on Tuesday.

The city resident, unidentified by the Connecticut State Lottery, cashed in on a "$2,000,000 Mega Multiplier" game they bought at the J & R White Street Citgo. The total payout was a cool $2 million.

The score is the second-largest Connecticut Lottery prize claimed so far in May and third largest claimed so far this year. A Wilton resident cashed in a $7.8 million ticket in March, and earlier this month, a Hartford resident claimed a $4 million prize.
