Jose Ernesto Nunes, 73, of Danbury, Passed Away Peacefully

DANBURY, CT — Jose Ernesto Nunes passed away peacefully Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Danbury Hospital, with his family by his bedside.

Jose was born in Portugal October 10, 1942 then moved to the Danbury area in 1969. Jose was an avid Sportingista and enjoyed being in his garden, most importantly Jose loved to be surrounded by his family and friends. Jose was predeceased by his parents Tiago and Susana Nunes.

Jose leaves behind his loving wife Luisa Nunes, his son Jorge Nunes and his wife Andreia, his other son Nelson Nunes and his wife Sarena. In addition he will continue to watch over his grandchildren Amanda, Michelle, and Michael Nunes. Jose also leaves behind his sister Berta and her husband Luciano Pires, Sister Angela and her husband Americo Bertando, Brother Jorge Nunes and wife Ana and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to call at The Green Funeral Home Monday June 6, 2016 at 6:00 pm and will continue till 8:00 pm for visitation.

Funeral services will follow the following day June 7, 2016 at The Immaculate Heart of Mary of Danbury, CT at 10:00am.
