Lebanese Mahrajan Festival Returns to Danbury

Saint Anthony Church will host a free 2-day Lebanese Mahrajan Festival in Danbury with food, music, dance, kids' games, and cultural events.

DANBURY, CT — Saint Anthony Maronite Catholic Church will host its annual Lebanese Mahrajan festival May 30–31 at CityCenter Danbury, featuring traditional music, dance, food and family activities.

The 2025 event, themed “Abu El Ziluf,” will take place rain or shine at 1 Ives St., with hours from 5 to 11 p.m. on May 30 and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on May 31.

The festival celebrates Lebanese culture through a range of live performances, including music by George Radi & The Band and Star Singer Bash. Traditional dabke dances will be performed by youth groups from the church’s religious education and Maronite Youth Organization. Kelvia & the Middle Eastern Dance Academy will also present a belly dance performance.

Attendees can enjoy Lebanese dishes such as saj and mezza, provided by Kibberia, alongside a selection of food vendors offering both Middle Eastern and American fare. Desserts, drinks, and a hookah lounge will be available, and a kids’ area will feature games and activities.
