Man Assaulted, Robbed Victims in Danbury: Police

Police say two victims suffered significant injuries and were hospitalized.

DANBURY, CT — After two victims suffered what police called significant facial injuries, a Waterbury man was charged with assaulting them and taking their money and cell phones following a week-long investigation. Police arrested Harry Thompson, 42, on July 7 and are still investigating the case.

Police say they responded to Dr. Aaron B. Samuels Blvd. for a street robbery complaint, and found the two victims with significant head injuries. They told police two men had assaulted and robed them. (To sign up for Danbury breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Investigators later identified Thompson as a suspect and arrested him on July 7. Police also made an arrest in a similar situation on July 7, but police say the two cases are unrelated.

Thompson was charges with robbery in the second degree, assault in the second degree and larceny in the second degree. He was held on a $100,000 bond.
