In Memory of Florence Barton, 55, of Danbury

Mrs. Barton, a 20-year Nurse Supervisor in Danbury, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in her sleep.

DANBURY, CT — Florence Barton, age 55, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in her sleep Wednesday morning on June 29, 2016 at her home on Newark Pond Road, VT. Flo was born in Fort Kent, ME on February 23, 1961, daughter to Emelene (Robbins) and the late Alton Robbins.

She was raised and educated in Danbury, CT, graduating from Henry Abbott Regional Technical School. She worked as a Supervising Nurse at the Pines Rehabilitation and Health Center where she worked for over 20 years. She loved going to work and never complained about going there and was always willing to cover shifts when needed for her coworkers.

Florence loved her patients and would often get them presents. She was an avid reader and movie buff, typically staying up late to another show. She was a wonderful wife, mom and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by; her beloved husband of 39 years, Robert W. Barton Sr. of Newark; her mother, Emelene Leinert of Danbury, CT; her daughter, Cheryl Ziembroski and her husband, Justin of Lyndonville; her son, Robert W. Barton Jr., and his wife Corey of Coldchester, VT and their son, Liam Shangraw; two brothers, Stanley and Lenny Robbins, both of Connecticut.

A gathering for family and friends was held to pay respects on Tuesday, July 5, 2016. No funeral services were held, and interment was private.
