Man Killed By Car On I-84 In Danbury Identified

DANBURY, CT — A person was struck and killed by a car early Saturday morning on I-84 in Danbury, Connecticut State Police said.

Police say a 32-year-old man was hit and killed by a vehicle or vehicles that did not remain at the scene. The man was identified as Daniel Crawford Jr., of Brewster, New York.

Troopers responded to the scene at 1 a.m. and found a Jeep Grand Cherokee stopped in the right shoulder and the deceased pedestrian in the right lane, police said.

Police are seeking information about the crash and are asking anyone who may have information on the evading vehicle to call Troop A at 203-267-2200. Calls will remain confidential.
