Police responded to a report of a threat at Danbury Fair Mall on Sunday afternoon, but quickly determined it was not credible.

DANBURY, CT — Police responded to a report of a threat at Danbury Fair Mall on Sunday afternoon, but quickly determined it was not credible, according to police officials.

The response began at 4:30 p.m., and resulted in the temporary closing of the mall, before it reopened for business as usual.

Police say the incident "remains under investigation as a swatting call."
