Representative Santos faced adversity early on in life. At just three months old, he was adopted by his aunt and uncle who raised him with love and care. When economic instability struck Brazil, his family was significantly impacted, leading them to make the courageous decision to immigrate to the United States. At seven years old, Representative Santos arrived in Danbury and began learning English as an ESL student within the Danbury Public Schools system. He later went on to graduate from Henry Abbott Technical High School.
"I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all my family, especially my loving wife and daughter, and friends for their unwavering support throughout this journey. Your presence has been crucial in shaping my path toward success and making this achievement possible. I also want to acknowledge the fellow Brazilians who have tirelessly fought for our community and worked towards making Danbury a more welcoming and inclusive place for everyone. I admire and applaud their efforts as I stand on their shoulders," said Representative Santos. "Lastly, I am deeply thankful to my father, who I carry with me.
