State Police Probe Danbury Officer Charged With Stalking

DANBURY, CT — A Danbury police officer has been placed on administrative leave following his arrest on a second-degree stalking charge.

Officer Myckol Rodriguez, 34, of Milford, turned himself in on Tuesday on an active arrest warrant borne of an investigation into his "conduct while on duty as a Danbury police officer," according to Connecticut State Police

Rodriguez' activities came under suspicion during an internal investigation, according to Chief Patrick Ridenhour. The information discovered prompted the DPD to contact the Danbury State's Attorney for guidance, and the State's Attorney's Office subsequently requested a criminal probe by the State Police.

Rodriguez has a disciplinary hearing pending in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement, Ridenhour said.

Police have disclosed no details about the incident or investigation leading to Rodriguez' arrest.
