TODAY Show Tells Story of Two Danbury Couples United at Stew Leonard's
The company says over 100 couples have found love while working at Stew Leonard's.
DANBURY, CT — Over 100 couples have met and married at various Stew Leonard's stores in the company's nearly 50-year history, and the TODAY show recently interviewed five of those couples. Two of those couples met at the Danbury store.
According to the TODAY website, Anthony Bonacci and Marlene Caetano met when she was a cashier and he was a bagger in 2003. Caetano kept putting it off at first, but finally agreed to go out with Bonacci. The couple married in 2006.
"We finally set a night to go out, and he later told me that he was going to stop asking if I didn’t commit to a night," said Caetano according to Today.

Nicole Manca and Art Weiss met in the early 90s at the Danbury store, when she was a cashier and he was a cook. The two developed a friendship quickly before Art asked her on a date and surprised her with Blue Man Group tickets in New York City. The two later engaged in the big city.
