2 Darien Restaurants May Have To Scale Back Outdoor Dining: Report
Two Darien restaurants that have used parking spaces to create temporary patios may have to scrap their plans for outdoor seating this year.
DARIEN, CT — Two downtown restaurants may have to scrap their plans for outdoor seating this summer as the state's extension on its more lenient outdoor dining policies in response to the coronavirus crisis expires at the end of April, the Darien Times reports.
According to the Darien Times, Bodega Taco Bar and The Goose American Bistro & Bar have used parking spaces behind their restaurants to create temporary patios the past two summers. Town officials said they were hesitant to lease the space this year due to nearby construction increasing parking demand.
