Cigarettes Worth $2K Stolen in Goodwives Supermarket Heist
Surveillance footage shows the thief jumping over the counter and grabbing carton after carton of cigarettes — about 40 in total.

A thief stole about 40 cartons of cigarettes by jumping over the counter at 9 p.m. on Monday, March 2, at the Stop & Shop supermarket in Goodwives Shopping Center.
Store security personnel called police to report the theft of what was estimated to be $2,000 worth of cigarettes, and to show them the surveillance video.
The video shows a thin, black male wearing a dark North Face jacket over a sweatshirt, a dark skull cap, jeans and work boots. After jumping over the counter, he loaded up a large cardboard box with the cigarette cartons.
