Crossing Guards Sought In Darien

DARIEN, CT — The Darien Police Department is looking to hire crossing guards, according to the town's most recent community newsletter.

The daily pay is $44.50, with one hour of work in the morning and one hour in the afternoon.

Crossing guards are responsible for monitoring traffic and assisting children cross the street safely.

Regular and prompt attendance is essential. Crossing guards must have an accurate judgement of traffic flow, speed and direction of travel.
