Darien Completes Perfect Field Hockey Season With Class L Title
The Blue Wave shut out FCIAC rival Wilton 4-0 in the Class L finals at Wethersfield High School.

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Ryan Hapgood had a perfect ending to a perfect senior season for the Darien High School field hockey team. She scored three goals to lead the top-seeded Blue Wave to a 4-0 victory over Wilton in the Class L championship game Saturday at Wethersfield High School.
Hapgood scored the only goal Darien would need just past the midpoint of the first quarter, assisted by Tori Stockdale. She netted her second goal nearly eight minutes into the second quarter, tipping in a shot by Raina Johns, then completed her hat trick off a penalty corner three minutes into the second half, set up by Blake Wilks.
Ashley Stockdale scored with just under nine minutes to play, assisted by Johns.
