Darien Cruises To Second Straight Class LL Girls Volleyball Title
The Blue Wave extended their record-setting number of state championships to 19 with a straight-set victory over Southington.
EAST HAVEN, CT — For the second straight year and 19th time in the past three decades, Darien demonstrated its prowess on the volleyball court Saturday night, taking down Southington in three straight sets in the Class LL finals at East Haven High School.
Game scores were 25-18, 25-17 and 25-15.
Tournament MVP Aubrey Moore led the way with 32 assists and three blocks. Twin sister Ellie Moore had 14 kills, Marin Black added 10 kills and Brooke Leone registered 11 digs.

The Blue Wave earned their 50th consecutive victory, posting perfect 25-0 records each of the past two seasons.
