• Stories to Chill Your Bones: At 6 p.m., children ages 7 to 10 are invited to dress up in costume and join  staff at Tilley Pond Park for "Stories to Chill Your Bones." The event, co-sponsored by the , will feature "jump" stories, songs, and folktales.
• Between Shades of Gray: The library's Fall Book Discussion Series continues tonight at 7 p.m. with a session on Ruta Sepetys' Between Shades of Gray. The discussions are led by library staff.
• Linda George Paintings: From now until Nov. 9,  by Linda George will be on display in the 's art gallery.
