Floor Washer -- 1,000 Pounds and Worth $5,000 -- Stolen at Supermarket
Most thefts at supermarkets are for considerably less expensive items. Here's the exception, stolen from a cleaning company.

On Sunday, Feb. 15, due to a storm, the electricity went off at Stop & Shop in the Goodwives Shopping Center at 25 Old Kings Hwy. N.
And a thousand-poind, driveable floor washer also went off — somewhere — taken by a thief or thieves from the cleaning company that kept the machine at the store.
The machine, a Tenant Model 5680, may have been driven out of the store, up a ramp and into a truck, police say. A key is used to start the machine, and it was normally left in the machine, according to the business that owns it. When not in use, the key was supposed to be secured with a cable lock.
