Grand Opening Celebration Scheduled For La Taqueria In Darien

DARIEN, CT — A grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting is scheduled for Aug. 17 at 5 p.m., at La Taqueria in Darien to welcome owner and chef Dennis Lake and his staff to town.

The Darien Chamber of Commerce will host the event at the restaurant at 1077 Boston Post Road. Guests need tickets to attend; the event is sold out.

Lake also has a La Taqueria location in Greenwich on Greenwich Avenue. The menu in Darien will feature small plates from signature guacamole, arroz and frijoles, to a variety of tacos, a chef's plate, salad plate and grilled chicken burrito. There will also be a wide selection of premium tequilas, mezcals and margaritas. La Taqueria offers catering, too.

According to the La Taqueria website, Lake is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. He was previously the executive chef at Glaze Teriyaki and Rosa Mexicano in New York City.
