Despite attempts to deny their existence on some Multiple Listing Services, real estate teams are a fast growing phenomenon.

One reason that the trend is spreading so quickly throughout the country is quite simple. When a team is cohesive, comprised of skilled professionals, supplied with a talented support staff and provided with sound leadership, it can clearly accomplish more and deliver better service to the consumer than a single agent. 1. Those you select – attitude and aptitude
  2. Constant training
  3. Genuine care and concern for others

1. In a recent blog, I alluded to the fact that attitude is just as important as aptitude when it comes to success. This is certainly true when working within the structure of a team. Teams that consist of members with high aptitude but poor attitude eventually burn out. A team with a collectively positive attitude has longevity.

2. When it comes to maintaining a high level of performance, training can never end. I’ve discovered that this doesn’t necessarily mean the continual training of skills and techniques that are new and different. While various methods and systems may be employed, more often than not, training consists of honing and improving the same set of skills over and over again. 3. Everyone wants to be loved – that has always been true and it always will. A team comprised of the right chemistry can demonstrate a concern and care for one another that is simply not feasible in any other work environment. This cultivates a feeling of responsibility to oneself and to others. A feeling of responsibility to others inspires one to attain heights beyond what they would ever otherwise consider.

It’s a mix that benefits everyone, including the consumer.
