According to Marron, an officer on routine patrol first spotted Sabini's "dark colored" motorcycle being operated erratically on northbound Noroton Avenue in the area of Pine Street. The officer, traveling in the opposite direction at the time, turned around in an attempt to pull over Sabini, who reportedly left the area at a high rate of speed.

During a search of the area, the officer found Sabini and the upended motorcycle about a third of a mile east of Noroton on Middlesex.

The incident remains under investigation. Witnesses are asked to contact the Darien Police Department at 203-662-5300.
