DARIEN, CT — The Darien Good Wife’s River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution has created a display in the Darien Town Hall lobby to honor and thank the town’s first responders in recognition of National First Responders Day on Oct. 28.

The exhibit, organized by chapter Honorary Regent Vigee Droesch, features memorabilia from the Noroton Fire Department, Noroton Heights Fire Department, Darien Fire Department, Darien EMS–Post 53, the Darien Police Department and the Fire Marshal’s Office. The display will remain on view through early November.

Darien First Selectman Jon Zagrodzky issued a proclamation in honor of the observance, which recognizes the service and sacrifice of emergency personnel. The display was supported by first responder volunteers who helped curate historical items from their respective departments.
