Car Stolen From Country Club; Catalytic Converter Thefts Reported At Local Business: Darien Police

The Darien Police Department has issued its weekly crime summary update.

DARIEN, CT — A car was stolen from a country club last week, and catalytic converters were taken from work vans at a local business, according to the Darien Police Department's recent crime summary update.

On Dec. 10 at approximately 2:18 p.m., officers responded to Woodway Country Club on Hoyt Street on a report of a stolen 2024 Range Rover.

Police said the victim left the vehicle unlocked with the keys, purse and cell phone inside.

The DPD has routinely reminded residents to lock their cars and take their belongings with them to help curb vehicle thefts.

On Dec. 11, at approximately 10 a.m., officers responded to a florist business on Camp Avenue on a report of a past larceny.

A victim there reported the theft of catalytic converters from two work vans.

Catalytic converters contain valuable metals such as rhodium, palladium and platinum.
