Man, 79, Charged With Sexual Assault After Incident At Darien YMCA: Police

DARIEN, CT — A 79-year-old man was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault following an incident that occurred at the Darien YMCA last week, according to police.

Lloyd Bye, of Darien, was issued a misdemeanor summons and given a court date of Aug. 22, police said in an arrest report.

On Aug. 1 at approximately 3:04 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault at the YMCA located on the Post Road, police said.

"The victim reported being inappropriately touched by Lloyd Bye," police said.

Due to the sensitive nature of the case, no additional details will be released at this time, police said.
