DARIEN, CT — Pre-made meal chain Pasta Vita has closed its Darien location.
The eatery opened with a big fanfare at 364 Boston Post Road on July 7, 2020, during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
All mention of the Darien site has been purged from the corporate website, and a paper sign in the window informs patrons the restaurant is "closed."

Marlyn Calim, owner of neighboring business Greenfield Cleaners, told Patch she was first informed of Pasta Vita's intent to close about three weeks ago. The "gourmet-to-go" establishment was shuttered the next day.
Calima said she spoke with Pasta Vita's owner in the parking lot 3–4 days later, and was told there was "no business," and her customers continue to pepper her with questions about the closing three weeks later.

Other Pasta Vita locations in Connecticut include Mohegan Sun, Wethersfield, Avon, South Windsor, and Old Saybrook, where the chain was founded.
