Police: 'Darien Youth Sports League' Doesn't Exist, Ad-Selling for Its Journal is Suspicious
The youth organization doesn't exist here, Darien police say; they've asked the Connecticut Consumer Protection Department to look into it

Darien police want local businesses to be aware that a group called the “Darien Youth Sports League” doesn’t exist in this town, and police are asking state consumer protection officials to look into a marketing company soliciting advertising to support the group.
After a phone call from a company called Youth Sports Publications, businesses get a follow-up letter claiming to support the ”Darien Youth Sports League,” according to a news release Thursday issued by Darien Police. The letter says the money will go toward an advertisement for the business in the “Darien Youth Sports League Journal.”
Darien police have asked the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection to investigate the company.
