Police: Harassing, Creepy Phone Calls to Darien Girl, 17, Came from Man, 65
Police arrested the man after an investigation into 60 phone calls going back to September 2013.

A 65-year-old Manhattan man made about 60 phone calls to a Darien girl, now 17, since September 2013, said Darien police, who just arrested him.
Darien police gave this account (an accusation not proven in court) of the matter:
In October 2014, the girl first complained to Darien police about the harassing phone calls, which she said had begun in September 2013.

The girl said that in the calls, made to her cell phone from a blocked number, the caller would infer that he knew her, knew where she was at certain points during the day, and sometimes he would ask her inappropriate questions.
At one point, the caller asked if he could meet her somewhere.

Darien police detectives identified the caller as Keith Jamie Reimer of 18 East 80th St. in New York City. They applied for and received a warrant for his arrest. After Reimer learned of the warrant, he turned himself in on Wednesday at Darien Police Headquarters.
Reimer is charged with two counts of second-degree harassment. His bond initially was set at $125,000, which he was not able to post, and he appeared Wednesday in state Superior Court in Stamford (where a judge would have an option to lower his bond).
