2-Vehicle Crash In Durham Leads To Serious Injuries: State PD
A four-year-old child was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the crash.
DURHAM, CT — A 49-year-old Northford man suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Route 17 Friday evening, State Police said.
State Police said a vehicle driven by a Wallingford resident was traveling southbound on Route 17 approximately two tenths of a mile north of Barbara Lane around 5 p.m.
The Northford resident, who was driving a 2008 Dodge Ram, was traveling northbound on Route 17 near the first vehicle, State Police said.

"For an unknown reason, (the Northford resident's vehicle) entered into the southbound lane of Route 17 causing a head-on collision with Vehicle #1," State Police said in a report. "Operator #1 was transported to Middlesex Hospital for evaluation of suspected minor injuries, and (the Northford man) was transported by Life Star to Yale New Haven Hospital for suspected serious injuries."
A four-year-old passenger in the other vehicle was evaluated and released on scene by Durham EMS. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Dean's Autoworks. This case remains under investigation.
