Adam Yother of Middlefield uploaded this photo of a black bear he took in Middlefield.
Yother said he came home Thursday afternoon to find the bear roaming in his backyard on Cedar Street.
"Knew it was only a matter of time," Yother wrote on our Facebook page.
According to the state Department of Environmental and Energy Protection, there only have been 3 reported sightings (meaning residents notified the state) in Middlefield since September of last year, compared to 12 in Durham.
