Recently, Hartford Courant reporter Julie Stagis visited District 13 to explore how students, teachers and administrators are using technology, including the popular social media website Twitter, to expand the classroom.
"If we're preparing kids for the future, but we do it with just pencils and paper, we're not a school — which prepares you for the future – we're a museum, which teaches you about what the past was like. So we really have to adopt the communication tools that kids use if we want to demonstrate the relevance of communication skills," Coginchaug High School Prinicpal Andre Hauser told Stagis.
