COVID-19 Test Kits To Be Distributed In Durham

The town has received a limited amount of COVID-19 test kits and plan to distribute them to residents with an immediate need on Jan. 4.

DURHAM, CT — Durham will distribute COVID-19 test kits to residents at the Durham Fairgrounds on Tuesday, Jan. 4, officials announced.

The distribution will begin at 9 a.m. until the supply is depleted.

Durham has received less than 400 kits to distribute to the public. As there are not enough tests for every resident of our town, the primary focus is for members of the public who have a known exposure or are symptomatic and are unable to find another test.

Distribution is meant for residents with an immediate need:

(a) individuals/families that believe they might have been exposed or have been experiencing symptoms.

(b) individuals that traveled over the holidays and have been experiencing symptoms

The Town will be distributing these kits on a first-come, first-serve basis at a drive thru pickup. Each kit contains two tests. Due to limited availability, we are only able to provide up to TWO test kits per household at this time. You MUST be a Durham resident and MUST show ID at the time of pick-up.

The distribution will take place at the Durham Fairgrounds on Tuesday, January 4 at 9 a.m. until the supply is depleted. Please enter through the Canfield Lane gate at the south side of the green.
