Daily Five: Taxes Due, Box Tops and School Climate Survey

1. What's the Weather? A slight chance of snow showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 34. Northwest wind 10 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 12. Northwest wind 5 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
2. All Schools Are Open Just a reminder that all schools in Durham and Middlefield are open today.

3. Box Tops Collection Underway Don't forget to cut your Box Tops and bring them to Perk On Main where we're collecting them to raise money for all of the schools in District 13. If you bring in 20 Box Tops, you'll earn a FREE pastry from Perk On Main with the purchase of a coffee. What a deal!

4. Taxes Due Today If you haven't already paid your taxes, they're due today. Late payments mean you'll be charged interest every month so stop by your tax collector's office today.
5. School Climate Survey Extension The survey will remain on the District 13 website for one more week (until February 8th) to allow parents a chance to complete the survey multiple times if you have children in more than one District school.
The survey focuses on the issue of bullying in the schools. This is part of the district's outreach to determine how safe students feel in their respective buildings. Surveys are anonymous and results will be posted soon.
