1. What's the Weather? Increasing clouds, with a high near 24. Wind chill values as low as -6. Northwest wind 5 to 7 mph. Tonight: A chance of light snow, mainly between 7 p.m. and 4 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 12. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
2. Learn About Ice Fishing Middlefield Park & Rec will host a FREE fishing workshop presented by DEEP C.A.R.E. instructors tonight from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Middlefield Community Center.

3. IDS Appoints First Woman Headmaster The private school in Middlefield announced this week that it has hired Jessi Christiansen to succeed John Barrengos, who will complete his six-year tenure as the school’s leader at the end of June.
Christiansen will be the first woman to lead the school in its 51-year history.

4. The Band Plays The fourth grade band at John Lyman School performed for family, friends and classmates under the direction of Cheryl Wiener on Wednesday, January 23. Students have accomplished a great deal since they first picked up their instruments in September!

5. Taste of Durham tickets are going fast! Stop by the library to pick up yours before they're all gone. $30 per person, includes 3 bar tickets and lots of great food! The event will be held on Saturday, February 2nd, 6:30-9:00pm.
