1. What's the Weather? Snow and freezing rain likely before 9 a.m., then rain and patchy fog. High near 43. Tonight:A chance of rain, mainly before 9 p.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 30.
2. Thank You, Public Works It's been 48 hours since the snow stopped swirling and our local road crews are still at it, still behind the wheel of their plows, still trying to push all of that snow out of the way so we can drive our cars to work, to school, to the grocery store.

4. Valentine's Pot Luck Luncheon Canceled The Durham 60+ Club has canceled Tuesday's Valentine's Pot Luck Luncheon as a result of the storm.
5. Chili Contest Rescheduled The Church of the Epiphany has rescheduled its Annual Chili Contest to Saturday, March 2, 2013, from 4-7 p.m. in the parish hall at 196 Main St. Prizes will be awarded for the top three winners in meatless, mild, hot and children's (5-18) category. There is no entry fee but chili should be dropped off at the church at 3:45. There will be an alternative meal for those who do not like chili. Please come and vote on your favorite recipe. The price is $8 for adults, $5 for children. Information is available by calling 860-349-6533.
