Data Security Breach at Middlesex Hospital: 900-Plus Patients Impacted
An email scam allowed access into Middlesex Hospital records.
A phishing scam via email resulted in the compromising of 946 Middlesex Hospital patients’ records. According to Fox61, four employees were victims of the scam and access was given to hospital records as a result of the scam.
The information that may have been compromised is the following:
- Names
- Addresses
- Birth dates
- Medical record numbers
- Medications
- Dates of service
- Diagnoses of patients
