Durham 2023 Election Voter Guide: Candidates, Polling Places
Here's everything you need to know concerning the Durham local elections, including the candidates, polling places, and voting hours.

DURHAM, CT — On Nov. 7, Durham residents cast their votes for several key municipal positions. Contested races include: the town council and school board.
Polls in Connecticut are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. You can use the Secretary of State’s website to find your polling place. Voters who are in line by 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
Connecticut also allows for Election Day registration at designated centers in each town. People must be registered by 8 p.m. in order to vote using Election Day registration. To receive your absentee ballot, complete and sign an application and return it to your Town Clerk, or you can request an absentee ballot online.

Selectmen
The Democratic candidate is Thomas Hennick and the Republican candidate is Robert Chadd.
Town Clerk
The lone candidate is Nicole Charest, who is endorsed by both political parties.
Town Treasurer
The lone candidate is Wendy Manemeit, a Republican.
Tax Collector
The lone candidate is Max French, a Democrat.
Board of Finance
The Democratic candidate is Eileen Buckheit and the Republican candidate is Nancy Cuomo.
Board of Assessment Appeals
The Democratic candidate is Matthew Taber and the Republican candidate is Susan Gardner-McNulty.
Planning and Zoning Commission
The Democratic candidates are: Patricia Dynia and Michael A. Fusco and the Republican candidates are Kyle Mosher, Frank C. Defelice, Michael J. Fumiatti, and James E. Piotrowski.
Planning and Zoning Commission Alternate
The two candidates are Republicans, Amy Royal and James C. Martinelli.
Zoning Board of Appeals
The Democratic candidate is Mark Jungels and the Republican candidates are Gail E. Foreman, William C. Laflamme and Jessica Augur.
Zoning Board of Appeals Alternate
The Democratic candidate is Thomas Peters and the Republican candidates are James W. Frazier and Shawn Gibbons.
Regional Board of Education
The Democratic candidates are: Mariah Roy, Robert E. Moore and Patrick Holden and the Republican candidates include: Jason H. Stone, Nicole M. Ercolani and Stephen A. Delvecchio IV.
