Durham Fair Looking for Volunteers for Composting Project
You can also loan the fair a trash can to help in this ecological initiative.

Want to help out at the Durham Fair in an ecological way?
The fair is still looking for volunteers who want to participate in the fair's first "composting crew." As outlined in a blog post by Marketing Coordinator Debbie Huscher, here are the options:
Compost Crew: You would go around during the fair collecting food scraps and cast-offs from 20 vendors. Those scraps will then be composted, thereby reducing some of the trash that our fair produces.
Trash Can Loan: You could loan the Clean Energy Task Force a rolling trash can for the weekend, and the fair officials will be using its own trash bags for the composting effort.
Donate Pails: You could donate lidded 5 gallon pails.
