Durham Provides Update On Ongoing Projects
Road repairs in the town are linked to gas and water line projects.

DURHAM, CT — The town has provided an update regarding Eversouce gas line and EPA water line projects for Maiden Lane, Maple Avenue, and Talcott Lane. Eversource is working with the federal EPA and state DEEP to perform the road repairs for both the gas line and water line projects.
Laydon Industries, a contractor working for Eversource, will be performing the work.
The pavement overlay on Maiden Lane, Talcott Lane and Maple Ave was completed June 21, according to a twon statement. The application of the new striping along the roads and stop bars has also been completed. Installation of new driveway aprons is continuing.

The work to be performed starting Monday includes:
o Completing the new driveway aprons on Maple Avenue and Talcott Lane, which should be complete this week.

o Driveway aprons on Maiden Lane should begin this week and continue
into next week.
o Additional curbing is being installed in a few locations.
o Placing topsoil and seeding along Maple Avenue, Talcott Lane, and Maiden Lane to match the new pavement height will be performed after the driveway aprons and curbing work is complete.
Later this summer, additional work will be performed that will include:
o Paving a short section of Packinghouse Road.
o Milling and paving Talcott Ridge Drive and portions of Watch Hill Drive in Middletown.
o Repair of damaged curbing along Talcott Ridge Drive and Watch Hill Drive in Middletown.
