Man Charged In Middlefield DUI Crash: Police

A Windsor man was charged after he allegedly crashed his car into the front yard of a Middlefield home.

MIDDLEFIELD, CT — A Windsor man was charged after he allegedly crashed his car into the front yard of a Middlefield home, according to state police.

Police said the man was driving a 2016 Toyota Camry southbound on Baileyville Road at 12:21 a.m. Friday when he failed to negotiate a left turn in the road and veered off the right shoulder.

The car struck a rock before coming to rest in the front yard of 161 Baileyville Road.

No injuries were reported.

The driver was charged with operating under the influence and failure to maintain lane.

He was released on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Middletown Superior Court on Nov. 2..
